- Size: 60 x 40 mm (range 55-75 µm x 40-50 µm)
- Colour: Yellow or brown
- Shape: Oval
- Lid-like operculum on one end, Small knob-like thickening in other end (visible sometimes)
- Mass of yolk cells surrounds an undeveloped ovum
