- Eggs immature when passed
- Not infective to human

Diagnostic Features
- Size: Large; 140 µm x 80 µm (range, 130-159 µm x 78-98 µm)
- Shape: Broadly oval
- Colour: Pale yellow brown
- Small, flat operculum, but not clearly seen
- Shell is thin
- Contains an unsegmented ovum when passed
Very similar to F. hepatica egg
